Mixed Moods Earrings - one pair - your choice of faces

Mix and match these sterling silver earrings to reflect your mood. Little faces are hand-stamped on each individual post earring: happy, sad, angry, sleepy, indifferent and sly. Fun, whimsical gifts!

Each earring is hand-cut from recycled silver sheet and measures about 1/2 inch square. The faces are stamped and then oxidized for contrast, and the earrings are finished with a brushed texture to highlight the details. I can make them with sterling silver posts for stud earrings, or with sterling earwires for dangles.

A perfect holiday gift for someone who loves to run, this pendant is handcrafted from sterling silver and hung on an 18 inch sterling cable chain.

I spent the first 40 or so years of my life pretty much sitting around wondering why on earth someone would want to go outside in the rain, the wind or the dark of early morning and pound her feet on the cold, hard ground - on purpose. Then I started running myself, and now I get it. If you run, or know someone who does, you get it, too. As an addiction, it's not a bad one.

This piece measures about 1/2 inch wide and 3/4 inch long, and features a cutout figure with the word "run" hand stamped underneath. If you'd like me to customize the pendant by adding the date of a marathon or other important race, or initials, on the back, I can do so upon request.

Teach/Inspire Necklace - teacher's gift

As a parent, I'm often called upon to delve into the reserves of my supply of patience to manage the slings and arrows of daily life. And I'm even more often in awe of teachers, whose reserves of patience are seemingly endless.

Thank a teacher for her patience and her inspiration with this necklace. Two hand stamped sterling charms reading "teach" and "inspire" are suspended from an 18 inch sterling cable chain, accented with a sterling and freshwater pearl dangle. The charms measure 5/8 inch and 7/8 inch in length and are 1/2 inch wide.

Sterling Silver Mother's Ring - Personalized, adjustable

My children are beautiful, smart, funny, fascinating, joyous, exuberant, creative, wonderful - and really, really exasperating.

On the days when exasperating is the only thing I can remember, I look at these simple little rings with their names and breathe deep. It helps. These make lovely gifts for mothers, who need to breathe deep, and grandmothers, who are usually more patient and just proud. ;)

Each ring I make is hand-stamped with a child's name on a sterling silver band, which is then oxidized to highlight the lettering. Because ring sizing can be tricky, I can finish the edges and leave the band open(as shown in the "Ella" ring above). This makes the ring adjustable over a range of a few ring sizes, though not so flexible that it will bend easily and become misshapen.

If you're purchasing the ring as a gift and aren't sure about sizing, I can prepare a gift package with a photograph of some sample rings and a note that pieces will be custom made for the recipient. This pendant is hand-cut from sterling silver sheet, with two layers of petals and a center of sterling silver beads. It measures just under 1 1/2 inches (3.75 cm) in diameter at its widest point. The back layer of petals has a brushed matte finish, while the interior petals and beads have a high shine.

The pendant is strung on a black silk cord (you specify the length you'd prefer, from 16 to 20 inches), finished with sterling silver end caps and a sterling lobster clasp. Matching earrings, shown in the third photo, are listed separately in my store.

Hand cut copper and sterling are combined in this small whimsical statement. A skyline silhouette is accented with tiny silver structures in front - a perfect gift for an architect, designer or committed urbanite.
