Snowy Blooms - polymer and silver neckwire

Reminiscent of those first crocus blooms against a dusting of snow, this polymer clay and silver necklace shimmers in golds, yellow greens and pearly creams. I use a paint on polymer technique that is very textile like and adds a lot of dimension to the piece. Each component is framed in brushed fined silver and the backs are textured charcoal gray polymer.

The components are removable from the sterling silver neckwire, so you can wear one, the other or both for three different looks. The neckwire measures 18 inches. Also available in 16, 17 or 19 inches - please request in the buyer notes area. If no size is requested, the 18 inch neckwire will be sent.

My Indigo Collection is inspired by Japanese indigo and white cotton textiles that were used for peasant clothing (noragi) during the Edo period. Even today, indigo and white cottons are used for everyday kimonos and are printed in a range of traditional motifs. Indigo is a dark gray/blue color. It is a neutral and looks great with any color outfit.

This piece incorporates a cherry blossom motif and a bamboo lattice motif in an asymmetric necklace design. My technique involves crackling the ink slightly to mimic the look of textile paste and stencil printing. Each component is framed in textured and oxidized fine silver. The back is dark indigo textured polymer.

The larger component measures 1.25 inches. Both are removable from the oxidized sterling silver neck wire with a comfortable and secure friction clasp, so you can mix and match. The neckwire measures 18 inches. Upon request, it is also available in 16, 17 or 19 inches.

Contemporary and architectural, the long fishook earwires become an integral part of the design - they look awesome with short hair!

A traditional bamboo and lattice motif is transferred onto polymer in indigo blue (a dark gray/blue color) and then backed with vibrant lime green textured polymer. The earrings hang 2 inches from the tops of the handmade earwires.

Lightweight polymer clay earrings with a stylized flower pattern in dark gray blue indigo on a creamy white background. The backs are textured moss green polymer.

Faux Pebble Earrings in Soft Blue

Realistic faux pebbles made of polymer clay are securely wrapped in sterling silver wire. So lightweight you won't even know you're wearing them! These are my best selling style at shows. They look great on almost everybody.

Each pair is a little different, just as real pebbles would vary. They all look just like beach pebbles or river stones. The color will be a soft robin's egg blue with speckles - very realistic!

The earrings hang aprox. 1.5 inches from the top of the earwire. The pebbles are between 3/8 and 1/2 inches.

A Japanese branch motif is transferred onto a custom mixed shimmery mossy gray/green polymer clay that graduates subtly from dark to light. I add handmade sterling silver earwires and invert the images for an asymmetric look.

The very lightweight earrings are backed with charcoal gray textured polymer and measure 1.75 inches from the top of the handmade 20 gauge earwire.

Eye of the Tiger - sterling and polymer neckwire

One can imitate almost any type of stone in polymer clay - it's a fun challenge! Here I've blended gold and bronze clay using a variation of the mica shift technique to capture the chatoyancy of tiger's eye. No paints or sealants are used - just polymer manipulated into a design, then sanded and buffed. The frame is sterling silver. The back is textured very dark bronze polymer.

The pendant is removable from the 17 inch sterling silver cable neckwire with a comfortable and secure friction clasp. If you prefer a 16, 18 or 19 inch neckwire, please request in the buyer comment area.

These wonderfully shimmery earrings are very versatile. Dress them up or dress them down. Equally attractive with jeans or a little black dress!

My transfer technique onto polymer involves distressing the ink so that it looks like old porcelain. These are smallish earrings, measuring a little over 1 inch from the top of the handmade 20 gauge sterling silver earwire. I finish them with a rivet and a textured black back.

Extremely lightweight and comfortable. So light you won't even know you are wearing earrings!

A wonderfully organic, abstract design! I achieved it by doing a partial image transfer onto polymer clay, then altering with colored pencils. It is framed in hammered 14K gold fill and the back is textured coppery bronze polymer.

One of my techniques involves using shimmery, metallic textile paints on polymer clay. I layer them onto custom mixed polymer colors, texture and distress, and finally set the finished polymer sheet into a hand fabricated 14K gold filled frame. The back is textured coppery polymer.

The pendant is finished with a substantial 14K gold filled double rope chain. The pendant is not removable from the 18 inch chain.

Maya Blue - linear pendant on chain

Maya blue, or Azul Maya, is a vibrant blue used by the Mayas in honor of the rain god Chaak. I've recreated it in polymer washed with shades of blue alcohol inks and gold acrylic paint. Here I've framed it intextured 14K gold fill in a long, linear shape. I've then added a triple bail and 14K gold filled snake chain that adjusts from 16 to 18 inches. The back is textured blue polymer.
