I became interested in bamboo after reading of its sustainability and gentle ecological impact. I fell in love with bamboo when I made this dress. I cannot stop touching it, and Ella has worn hers many days in a row.

It washes beautifully, but requires a bit of a gentle touch to preserve the blossoms in their original shape.

Handwashing is ideal, but inside out in a lingerie bag in the regular cycle works fine in a pinch. It can be dried in the drier, but I'd recommend drying it on towels, like you would your favorite sweater.

Pink Ume Plum Blossom Bonnie Dress

The Bonnie Dress is the perfect springtime garment for your Bonnie Lass!

Your little girl will feel so special in her beautifully handcrafted frock! You will appreciate the details, heirloom-quality construction, and the fabric that make this garment unique.

I chose a lovely Japanese cotton dobby fabric for the Bonnie Dress. The texture is rich and the print is a lovely red, ivory and metallic light blue on pink. I have enclosed all of the seams for comfort and durability. The dress is nearly as lovely from the inside as it is on the outside! Some of the special details include surprise coordinating red polka dotted pockets and collar facings.

Notice the adorable vintage botton closure. These will vary garment-to-garment, but will be of similar size and color. I have included two pockets hidden in the flat-felled side seams for storing little treasures.

The pleated princess sleeves and hems are trimmed with a sweet velvet ribbon for a perfect finish. Giant Rick rack on the hem adds a touch of whimsy.

It simply must be seen and worn to be fully appreciated!

Beautiful and formal enough for a portrait or special occasion, yet comfortable and versatile to wear everyday. This cut-out lace jacket is made from tightly felted wool.

I use a vintage button for each closure, so please understand that your button will be slightly different from the one shown.

The inside seams are flat for your little one's comfort, and I also attach a stabilizer button to the inside, so you don't have to worry about her pulling too hard when she dresses herself.

Speaking of worries...I know it's a lovely natural winter white, but fear not, the wool is felted, the occasional handwashing with wool-safe soap won't damage the shape. Lay flat to dry as you would any special handwashable item. Please do not wash this item in a machine.

The Henry Shirt - Mendocino

One of the first times in my life that I've created a pattern *just* for fabric, and then actually made it. I gobbled up a lot of this gorgeous Mendocino cotton fabric from Heather Ross, since she's going to be out of the fabric printing business for a while. It is super-soft....feels almost like a brushed cotton.

Twist on a classic. Raglan sleeves are my favorite, but so rarely seen these days, and oh-so-comfortable!

The Henry Shirt can be worn as a shirt on its own, or as an overshirt with any type of tee underneath. Polyresin snap closure makes this shirt easy for him to dress himself, and handsome whether open or closed.

I envision this as a multi-season shirt. Wear over a long-sleeved tee for Spring and Autumn days, on its own with jeans, shorts, or pants any time, and even open over a tank or tee for summer versatility.

Features large, sturdy pockets (lined in organic cotton twill) for bringing home rocks. Washable, of course, for removing the from where those rocks were found!
