It was my retirement dream to open my own toy shop. However, after an alarming rise in toy recalls I wanted to move forward with my plans and give parents the peace of mind of buying a wooden toy that has been left in a finely sanded, unfinished state. As a father of 2, safety comes first in all of my toys.

Also, in realizing that there is a little bit of a kid in all of us, there are “Executive” versions of the toys made. Ones where oil finishes highlight the natural grain and beauty of the different woods used throughout the individual toys.

I am sure my toys will continue to provide my customers entertainment for generations to come!

You can also find my work in my other shop, Tools of the Loom where I offer weaving tools made from distinct & exotic wood.

I am also proud to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the Handmade Toy Alliance . The HTA is a non-profit organization whose members include over 400 small batch children's goods manufacturers and retailers.

In July of 2009 I was a guest speaker on behalf of the HTA at the Philly Buyers Market for American Crafts at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

When I started Greco Woodcrafting, I wanted to give parents a safe alternative to imported plastic toys. I am also keenly aware of the resources I use in order to do so. With that in mind, I am proud to announce that for every 5 toys I sell, a tree will be planted through a donation to The Arbor Day Foundation .
