As an emerging artist in the Western North Carolina area art scene, Connie also provides a venue for other artists to hone their craft at her studio and gallery. Her talented Mother, Barbara Hipwell, is "VP in Charge of Everything Else" at the studio.

Active in the local art community, Connie is a member of The Art League of Henderson County, the Arts Council of Henderson County plus founding member and President of The Gallery Guild of Henderson County.
