For the ultimate Michael Jackson fan, this handbag is made from Michael's actual Jam album released in 1992 - tracks are Jam and Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough (mix).

This unique handbag is individually handcrafted and will contain a signed and numbered medallion from Brinda Kay. This is the first (and quite possibly the only) issue of this handbag.

This bag features the front cover on one side and the actual vinyl album on the other. Both are backed with a thin piece of composite hard board for a very durable bag about town. Since nothing should be wasted, the back side of the cover is used as a liner for the inside of the album side. Both the outside cover and the inside liner are given are coated with varnish. The two sides are held together with black leather-like vinyl fabric and dome nickel rivets. The sides of the fabric are accented with a great piece of Midori ribbon at the opened top to accent the cover. Handles are black vinyl tubing and ball chain. As with most upcycled items made from recycled goods there can be some imperfections (some of us call it *character*).

Purse measures 9" tall (not including handles) 5" deep, has an open top, and approx. 11.75" at widest section across.

Check out this great Marilyn record. It's from an Italian issue of songs from her movies, including "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend."

This purse is made from the actual album released in 1974. The front cover on one side and the actual vinyl on the other. Both are backed with a thin piece of hardboard for a very durable bag about town. I used the backside of the cover as a liner for one side of the purse. Both the outside cover and the inside liner are given a coat of varnish. The two sides are held together with black leather-like vinyl fabric and dome nickel rivets. I've accented the top sides of the fabric with a great piece of Midori ribbon to accent the cover. Handles are black vinyl tubing and ball chain. As with most items made from recycled goods (some of them pretty darn old), there can be some imperfections (some of us call it *character*).

Record Album Purse: Gaite Parisienne

How great is this can-can girl! This record album purse is from an album released in 1956 that is a classical music recording. When I saw the cover, I knew I had to have it and make a purse out of it. She should be flaunted around, don't ya think? And the little cartoon graphics surrounding it are priceless.

This purse is made from the actual record album and some rhinestone accents. One side features the cover and the other side the vinyl album -- with a striking black white and red center Columbia graphic. And since I don't like to waste good stuff, one side (the record) side is "lined" with the back of the album cover. This has information about the orchestra, the composers and conductor. Both sides are backed with a thin piece of wood. Held together with a heavy leather-like vinyl fabric, nickel rivets and contrasting ribbon accent at the top. Handles are vinyl tubing and ball chain. As with most items made from recycled goods (sometimes very old goods), there can be some imperfections (some of us call it *character* ;-)).

When I first found this album (The Cars, Panorama, released in 1980), I wondered what to make. I had to use it -- it's The Cars -- we eighties kids *love* The Cars. The cover was, well, kind of dull to me. But once I turned it over, woo-hoo! I really dig the graphic on the backside of this album. Reminds me of the dancing silhouette figures ipod uses for its branding. So, presto - it's now a tray. Use it to hold your keys, coins, ipod, paperclips, love notes, etc. It will look great on your desk, nightstand, coffee table, wherever. Candy-O I need you so. Made from The Cars' Candy-O record album, featuring the artwork of quintessential pin-up artist Alberto Vargas, 83 at the time, who was coaxed out of retirement just to do this cover featuring a beautiful redhead laying across a fiat. (By total coincidence, the model's name is Candy.)

This record album purse features J.Geils Band's Love Stinks album released in 1980. From far away it appears to be a vintage shot of a romantic couple and then you see the title of "Love Stinks."

With Valentines Day coming up, wouldn't this be a great purse to wear out that night if you (by choice or not) are dining out with the girls instead of a date. It would also make a good gift for a BreakUp or Divorce Party for a friend (or yourself).

One side of the purse is the album cover, the other is the record. The inner sleeve of the album is used as the "lining." Record Album Tray - Catch All box

Sometimes it's the cover that grabs my attention, sometimes it's the center of the vinyl record itself. This time it was both! I crafted a catch-all tray -- perfect to hold keys, coins, sunglasses, ipods, etc. The album is by Veronique - The Beat That Shook the World, released on the Ear Candy label (isn't that a great logo!) in 1991. Black and white and pink - a great color combo. Measures 7.25 square and 2.5 inches high at the top of the arch on the sides. Accented with both pink and black vinyl tabs and nickel rivets. As with items upcycled from recycled materials, there are some imperfections (some of us call it character ;-) )
