Today is the big day--I'm publishing issue number two of my shop newsletter, Fresh Labels. This month, I'm letting everyone know about my 1000 Markets shop and offering a few specials, one designed to kickstart my shop here at 1000 Markets.
I'm a newsletter novice, but I love sending them out.
To send out the first one, I enlisted the help of MailChimp (www.mailchimp.com), an email marketing site. It was easy to sign up and create a place for customers to sign up for the newsletter. After I'd promoted the list in my Etsy shop announcements and thorough email signatures and convos, I ended up with just over 100 subscribers.
At that point, I decided that it was time to log into MailChimp, build a newsletter using their tools, and schedule it to send out. After a little reading, I did find that some people felt the best time to send was at about 10 a.m. on Monday morning, so that was when I scheduled it.
The last issue was actually pretty successful, considering that I'm like a lot of small business owners and really don't know a lot about marketing. I got a bump in sales in the weeks after and inspired a few people to talk to their friends about me.
If you'd like to sign up to see what mine looks like, follow this link to my sign-up form:
I'm sending it out on 2/4 at 10 a.m. EST, so to get the first look, sign up before that time. If not, I'll do another batch of mailings this weekend sometime.
