Love is All You Need Handstamped Charm Necklace - Sterling Silver and Artisan Lampwork Glass

ABSTRACT

Give this delicate necklace to someone special, or buy it for yourself if you believe in love. The design was inspired by Robert Indiana's famous 1973 US postage stamp.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

A handmade, hand-stamped round 0.75 inch (1.9 cm) sterling silver charm with the word 'LOVE' in my new casual handwriting font is accented by a lovely, detailed lavender and pink artisan-handmade lampwork glass bead, a work of art on its own. The bead is attached directly to a link on the chain, while the pendant is strung on the chain and can move freely.

The clasp is a sturdy sterling silver spring ring, and the chain is 17.5 inches (44cm) of delicate sterling silver cable chain.

ABSTRACT

Memorialize your special date, child or pet's name, initials or nickname in metal and wear it around your neck as a reminder. This necklace will be unique and custom made just for you.

Let's work together to create the design.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

A handcut piece of sold copper sheet metal is hand stamped with steel stamps, filed to remove sharp edges, then oxidized and polished to bring out the letters and make them easier to read from a distance. The metal is hammered for strength and will not easily bend.

The pendant measures approximately 3/4 inches across (~2 cm). On this tag size I can fit 6 letters across the middle in my small or medium size font, or 2-3 design symbols alone.

The chain is 16" or 18" of solid copper cable chain with a solid copper lobster claw clasp.

I will contact you to verify the design requested. I'll make your necklace once I have received confirmation that you're happy with the layout.

NOTES

I cannot stamp on both sides of the metal since the impression is deep and will show through on the other side.

ABSTRACT

Copper and pearls are a seemingly odd combination but they complement each other well. The rich metallic brown and the iridescent white, accented by the sterling silver make these small earrings positively luminescent.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

Each earring has a handmade charm of oxidized copper, textured with a special hammer, and accented by a small dangle that includes a dark brown Swarovski crystal (4mm) and a tiny white freshwater pearl. I'll include a tiny polishing square so you can keep your earrings shiny, or let them wear to a lovely matte patina - your choice!

The earring wire is handmade of sterling silver, since copper earwires often irritate sensitive ears. Length of the earring from the top of the hook is only about 1.5 inches (3.2cm) so these are perfect for casual wear.
