Hi my name is Irene Livermore. This is a realistic original oil painting of a bird called a towhee. I thought is was a youngster but then all birds look young. I hope you enjoy this painting.  

This painting is accomplished by adding several layers of paint to achieve the natural hue of nature, with much attention to detail. I hope you enjoy this painting of a towhee. What a cute bird.
