Leaves and Earth Shibori Top (medium)

Description

Sun dappled leaves. Rich, red earth. The scents and sounds of the deepest rainforest. Strength, growth, and abundant life.  

To make this design, I used a maki-age shibori technique, stitching and binding the leaves and dyeing the shirt in a rich, rusty brown. After releasing the binding, I overdyed it in bath of handmixed chartreuse and teal for the variegated greens and purpley shadows. Isn't it wonderful?

- Shoulder to shoulder: 15.5 inches  

- Underarm to underarm: 17.5 inches  

- Length from neckline to center back: 25 inches
