Shifting sands. Luscious silks. Gleaming gems. The air is redolent with spice, incense and a hint of languor. Reminiscent of arabian nights, this neckpiece alludes to the exotic...the mysterious...the sensual.  

From the very beginning, this neckpiece guided me through its creation. I began with clear, blazing, faceted green amethyst nuggets. Their beauty demanded an unusual design. Each fabulous green amethyst is linked by 14k gold-filled wire, ending at the nape with a vermeil toggle. A teardrop, hand shaped and wrapped not once, but twice, with oodles of 14k gold-filled wire is the focal point. Wee dangles of multi-coloured tourmaline briolettes and pearls sit in a froth at the bottom of the teardrop, ready to sway with your every movement. Tourmaline rondelles are asymmetrically wrapped at the apex for continuity.  

This is a neckpiece that lends itself to a momentous occasion. To the wearer, enjoy.
