Renaissance Wrap, Velvet and Satins in Brown

Description

I had an inspiration to make a couple of Renaissance or Medieval inspired pieces and this is one of them. Rich with textures and warm colors, this scarf or shawl is really long and is intended to be a show-off piece of wearable art! It would also look very nice as a fancy table runner.  

The fabrics are mostly satin and velvet with some polyester blends- mostly salvaged from clothes or thrift store finds. The steel grey fabric is from a textured vintage kimono. All of the fabrics have been washed before sewing, but I recommend dry cleaning for future upkeep. Hand washing, with care, would probably be fine.  

This piece took me 4 hours to make. I charge $15 and hour which hopefully covers my time and supplies.
