Description

My Primitve Series is just that-- jewelry made with ancient techniques.  

This is a simple brass wire bracelet. I hand coiled more wire (much more) and threaded the coils onto the dual strand core then added two African brass beads and three pieces of recycled glass in blue, teal and green.  

The glass is made for Soul of Somanya by Mr. Israel Kumah in the Krobo region of Ghana, West Africa. He uses traditional methods in producing the beads, grinding up the glass with a mortar and pestle, making his own oven and bead molds out of clay from a nearby village, and firing the beads with wood.
