Angelica flower? Summer fireworks? A tree-topping star? Whatever it is, I love this shirt. In scarlet and purple, it's a perfect top with just about everything.  

The design begins with me drawing directly on the top, then using maki-nui, hira-nui, and maki-age shibori hand stitched resists. It's then hand dyed and the stitches are removed to reveal the complex magic of the dye.
