Daisy Cloche Hat, Ivory Straw and Gold Trim

Description

I made this beautiful vintage style cloche by hand blocking the natural parasisal straw on vintage wooden forms. I folded three pleats into the crown and brim and then sewed the two pieces together. The edge of the brim has a circle of monofilament sewn into it for structure. Once I had the basic structure completed, I trimmed the hat with gold textured grosgrain ribbon and a vintage trio of light tan velvet flowers with yellow centers. An ivory grosgrain ribbon completes the hat on the inside.  

The Daisy Cloche has an interior measurement of 22 inches (55cm), or about a hat size 7. This is suitable for a medium head.
