Shibori Haras Handbag Turquoise Bobbles

Description

Shibori texture handbag knit in a black and turquoise colorway with textural and sparkle fibers added to the flap area.  

Shibori is a term for Japanese resist dying of fabric. I used a similar technique when felting these handbags. The bound and clamped areas felt at a slower rate, creating the stand up bobbles and spikes in these creations.  

This bag features an inside felted pocket to hold your cell phone or blackberry. It has a 24 inch black vinyl strap attached with screw on strap connector so it is easy to remove for cleaning the bag. The bag also come with a detached plastic canvas bottom stabilizer to keep the bottom of the bag flat.
