They are dressed up with a tiny bit of sterling silver at the top and hang from long and gracefully curved handcrafted sterling ear wires.

I have always loved the beautiful decorator tins, and have experimented with different uses for these vintage patterns. In this instance, I have created a three-dimensional pendant with positive and negative space, and placed all pieces onto a piece of record album backing. The colorful pendant has been given a protective coating so ihe pattern remains crisp. Sterling jump rings and 16 in. snake chain finish off a very unique, whimsical look!

So much to tell about this necklace!

Start with a dried red maple leaf, resined onto a 2" slumped glass disk, and add a swirly paper backing, a hand formed copper bail and decorative components to the back. Create a complimentary chain made with vintage and new chain sections, and finish up with handmade links of red coral beads to set off the red of the maple leaf. You've got a real winner - the style is very trendy, but also bohemian because with all the handmade and vintage parts.

Copper chain is from a vintage necklace. The silver colored chain with double swirls is from a vintage Vendome chain. Necklace is 18 inches with a 2 inch sterling extender.
